Sports Massage Therapy for Sports Injuries
in Windsor, Ascot & Slough

Soft tissue therapy uses a number of different techniques, such as massage, stretching, postural or muscle firing assessment, to reduce physical aches and pains, whether they're caused by sport, injury, or simply the stress of everyday life. There are three main areas where soft tissue therapy can help.

Rehabilitation from Injury:
Even with the best possible training and stretching regime injuries are likely to occur at some point, whether that is an acute injury such as a muscle or tendon tear or an overuse injury that has built up over time. Soft tissue therapy can help with both acute and chronic injuries to help the body through the healing process.

Maintenance Treatment:
If you spend all day in the office you may want to relieve the stress of daily life, be that neck, shoulder or back pain. If you’re an active sportsman or woman you want to stay free from niggles and injuries that may prevent you from performing to the best of your ability. Regular soft tissue therapy can help an athlete stay on track with their training goals or relieve the aches and pains associated with your job.

Pre and Post-Event Treatment:
If you are training for an event then pre and post-event treatment can supplement your training programme. Pre-event treatment can help you arrive at the start of your event in the best possible condition and is tailored to your specific needs based on the type of event you are planning to do. Post-event treatment is more about reducing the chance of muscle soreness or injury. Soft tissue techniques can help the body recover and improve an athlete’s ability to return to training and competition, reducing the risk of injury.

  • Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have any extra measures in place due to COVID-19?

Yes, I do. All clients are sent a list of pre-screening questions to make sure they are not suffering from any COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with someone who does prior to the appointment. We have an enhanced hygiene regime in the clinic and have more time between clients to make sure the treatment room and clinic are thoroughly cleaned after each client. Both myself and the client should be wearing face masks and I'll be wearing a face visor during the treatment. I'll also avoid any techniques that require me to face to face with the client.

Should I attend if I don't feel well?

This depends on the symptoms you are experiencing but generally treatment is not a good idea if you are feeling unwell. Please call me to discuss your symptoms before your appointment.
